Tuğçe Balcı is a contemporary artist whose practice focuses on memory, traces of the past, and lived experiences. In her works, she explores the marks left by time through ruins, old architectural forms, and abandoned objects. Working primarily with oil paint on various surfaces, she aims to construct a visual field of memory between past and present. In her practice, she reinterprets traditional elements through a contemporary language, inviting the viewer into a familiar yet fragile world. Ruined structures and trace-bearing objects become symbols of both loss and regeneration within her narrative. Her artistic practice moves between personal memories, cultural heritage, and spatial memory, offering the viewer a timeless experience.
